EarthCam Launches New SolsticeCam For Construction - Now With EarthCam AI

Affordable, solar-powered jobsite monitoring and time-lapse

December 05, 2024 -- EarthCam, the leader in live camera technology, content and services, today announced important new features for SolsticeCam, its portable, live streaming camera for surveillance. SolsticeCam is the most budget-friendly system in EarthCam’s new 2025 line of construction cameras. AI object detection, analytics, and continuous video recording make the camera an essential, cost-effective option to keep short-term jobsites safe and productive.

The new SolsticeCam is easy to use, sets up in seconds, includes a high-efficiency solar panel and over twice the previous battery capacity, making it the perfect choice for unpowered jobsites. SolsticeCam features a quick-connect cellular modem to ensure performance in the widest range of locations.

With live streaming, continuous video recording and AI edited time-lapse videos, SolsticeCam fulfills the needs of general contractors right out of the box. AI-powered advisories and people counting help users react fast to potential jobsite issues and, with up to 120 days of video recording, the system is always capturing critical evidence. Onboard 256-bit AES encrypted storage with remote backup ensures archives are secure and recorded clips are easily shared with others.

The patented construction camera is rated IP66 and repels dust, rain, snow and ice ensuring it can be used in challenging environments year-round. The system is easy to relocate as construction progresses, delivering wide angle, crystal clear, live video day or night to a phone, tablet or computer. Enhanced sensitivity and image processing allows the camera to discern color in low light better than the human eye. SolsticeCam provides a cost-effective solution to monitor productivity, improve safety, mitigate risk and deter crime.

SolsticeCam delivers AI edited time-lapse videos and monitoring for construction projects, and includes EarthCam’s premium level support and deep integration with project management platforms like Procore, and Autodesk Build.

Available accessories include a selection of mounting options, customizable branding for bulk orders and an IR-Illuminator for up to 280 feet of enhanced night vision.

EarthCam’s Control Center continues to be the software of choice for project documentation, promotion, safety, and jobsite security. EarthCam provides reality capture services to make construction management more efficient with powerful visual data.
