December 17, 2021 -- For a decade, webcam enthusiasts worldwide have followed EarthCam’s 25 Most Interesting Webcams to find the world's best live-streaming cameras. Views include everything from breathtaking scenery and wild animals to one-of-a-kind views such as the red panda habitat at a New York Zoo and a quaint French town. The annual list acknowledges the most fascinating real-time content that has entertained millions of viewers around the world during 2021.
EarthCam recruited a judging panel tothe top 25 webcams based on image quality, uniqueness and overall achievement in webcam technology. This year’s panel includes John Shackleton, UK-based TV and film producer/director, Merrily Kerr, art critic and writer, Julie Moore, a director at the Trust for the National Mall, Theresa Amos Smullen, Emmy® award-winning brand strategist, Anthony Cordray, owner of the popular Flying Skunk Cam and Ariella Audi, Pre-K teacher at a New Jersey school who incorporates webcams into her curriculum. Each judge brings different perspectives on what makes outstanding live content, ensuring balanced consideration of a wide range of webcams.
For the past 25 years, EarthCam has created webcam technology that provides thousands of ‘windows to the world’, encouraging exploration for everyone. With this year’s webcam candidates, judges had to pick through hundreds of cameras with various backgrounds and aesthetics. From the rushing waters of the Magdalena River in Columbia to a kittens den – EarthCam’s judges were really put to the test tothe most interesting!

With this year’s list of winners, travelers can embark on a trip the snowy Olympic mountains in Whistler, Canada or chill out at a cafe in St. Augustine, Florida, or meet the cast of penguin characters at Kansas City Zoo. Viewers can be transported all the way to St. Petersburg, Russia, or to a live-streaming view overlooking the Statue of Liberty's crown. There is a camera for everyone in the Top 25 Winners of 2021.
