April 18, 2018 -- EarthCam, the leader in construction camera technology and services, launched the newest version of its Control Center 8 Software-as-a-Service suite, Version 8.4. The update to EarthCam’s popular software features technological advancements for increasing jobsite productivity and faster generation of high-quality imagery for public outreach.
Version 8.4 is expanding the ways that users can incorporate their EarthCam construction camera content into third party project management apps, such as Procore, PlanGrid and Aconex. Additional support was added for geo-tagging live streaming video, drone-generated 3D mapping and 360° VR photography. Users have quicker access to all of the information about their projects in one central interface, allowing for easier collaboration and efficient decision making.
Known for its first-to-market solutions, EarthCam’s interior cameras and photography solutions now support additional onsite environmental data. An integrated sensor monitors temperature, humidity and dew point at the jobsite location. This critical information is important for worker safety and quality control purposes to alert contractors to specific environmental conditions that may affect the installation of certain materials. These data points are embedded into every image and provide a detailed historic record of the project from start to finish.
EarthCam’s programming and engineering departments put a dedicated effort toward increasing Control Center 8’s support for emerging technologies and ultra-high quality construction camera content, including 4K streaming video and next generation 8K time-lapse movies. EarthCam has taken the technology it engineered for the broadcast industry and successfully delivered it to the construction industry for applications where the highest quality streaming video is required. NFL teams, like the Las Vegas Raiders, have awarded contracts to EarthCam based on the multi-faceted benefits realized through the use of live streaming content, from effective use in ticket sales offices to sharing with fans online to generate excitement.
Control Center 8.4 has been optimized to generate the powerful multi-media content faster than ever before. Professional RAW format photography, presentation-ready time-lapse movies with musical soundtracks and billion pixel panoramas can easily be shared across the organization. From informative boardroom updates to social media posts, the content creates the perfect medium for builders and owners to promote their important milestones in a dynamic, visual way.
