The project to replace the aging southbound Sullivan Road Bridge across the Spokane River launched in September of 2014 and is expected to wrap up in late 2016/early 2017. The new bridge will be 65 feet wide with four lanes that will safely accommodate future southbound traffic flow. In addition to being wider, the new bridge will include a multi-use pathway for pedestrians and bicyclists, three river-viewing platforms, and a crushed rock path and rock stairway leading from Sullivan Park to the river. More information is available at www.spokanevalley.org/sullivanbridge.
